Ad and remarketing audiences that actually work

A poorly defined or empty audience means wasted budget or a missed opportunity. I build the audiences your campaigns need in GA4, Google Ads and Meta, and check they are filling up as they should.

In short

I create and validate audiences for WooCommerce stores in GA4, Google Ads and Meta: product viewers, basket abandoners, recent buyers, high-value customers and exclusion lists. I check that audiences are collecting users, that they respect consent and that they are attached to the right campaigns. It is for stores running remarketing or prospecting that want to be sure their audiences are reliable.

Common audience problems

  • Empty or undersized audiences

Badly defined conditions, events missing the right parameters or absent consent signals mean lists never reach the minimum size needed to serve ads.

  • Recent customers seeing acquisition ads

Without exclusion lists, people who have just bought keep seeing ads for the same product or new-customer offers. Budget is wasted and customers get annoyed.

  • Stale customer lists

Lists uploaded once by hand and never refreshed, or with no check that customers agreed to their data being used that way.

How I build and validate audiences

I define audiences from the campaign strategy and funnel stages, not from a generic template. I build each one in the most suitable platform, check it is collecting users and document what it is for and which campaigns use it.

  • An audience map by stage: visitors, product viewers, basket abandoners, buyers and repeat customers.
  • Exclusion lists so existing customers don't receive acquisition ads.
  • Customer list syncing with the platforms, only for people who have given consent.
  • Regular checks on size, eligibility and campaign usage.

What you get

  • Audience map

A document listing each audience, its definition, membership duration, platform and the campaigns that use it.

  • GA4 audiences

Audiences built in GA4 and shared with Google Ads, based on ecommerce and custom events.

  • Meta custom audiences

Website, catalogue and engagement audiences set up in Ads Manager, matched to the campaign structure.

  • Customer lists

A process for uploading or syncing customer lists, with clear consent criteria.

  • Validation report

Checks on the size, eligibility and usage of every audience, with fixes applied.

How it works

  1. Review what exists

I look at your current audiences in GA4, Google Ads and Meta, along with their size and usage.

  2. Design the map

I define the audiences your campaign strategy needs and the exclusions that go with them.

  3. Build and connect

I create the audiences, attach them to campaigns and set up customer list syncing.

  4. Validate

I check user collection and eligibility, and review performance periodically.

Why isn't my remarketing audience growing?

The usual causes are badly defined conditions, events missing the parameters needed, no link between GA4 and Google Ads, or consent signals that don't allow ad personalisation. I check each of these before touching the campaign.

Can I upload my customer list to Google Ads and Meta?

Yes, provided you follow each platform's policies and the GDPR. That means having a lawful basis for the processing, telling customers about it in your privacy policy and respecting those who haven't consented to marketing.

Can GA4 audiences be used in Meta?

Not directly. GA4 audiences are shared with Google products such as Google Ads. For Meta, audiences are built from the Pixel, the Conversions API, the catalogue or customer lists.
