1. Who reviews
Reviews are written by me, as a growth consultant for WooCommerce shops. I do not accept payment from providers for reviews or list positions. Affiliate links are explained in the Affiliate Disclosure.
2. Criteria
- WooCommerce integration: native, via plugin, via Make or Zapier, or through an API, and which order and customer data it syncs.
- GDPR and privacy: availability of a data processing agreement, server location, subprocessor list and support for consent management.
- Core features: what the tool does well for the use case, for example email automations, tracking events or Consent Mode integration.
- Ease of use: set-up time and clarity for a small team.
- Pricing: pricing model and how it scales with contacts, orders or traffic.
- Support: channels, response times and availability in Portuguese.
- Performance impact: script weight and effect on shop speed.
- Portability: how easily data can be exported and the tool replaced.
3. How I test
- I use the tool in my own or a test account and, where possible, on a test WooCommerce shop.
- I set up real scenarios, such as an abandoned cart flow or sending purchase events to GA4.
- I read the provider’s official documentation, terms and data processing agreement.
- I draw on experience of using the tool in projects, without disclosing client data.
Factual information about pricing, features and servers is marked “to verify” until confirmed with the provider.
4. Independence
Affiliate commissions do not influence criteria, order or verdicts. A tool without an affiliate programme can be the top choice in a list. If a provider offers free access for testing, this is stated on the tool page.
5. Updates
Prices and features change often. I review each assessment periodically and whenever a provider announces significant changes..
6. Limitations
No tool is the best choice for every shop. Reviews are a starting point and do not replace testing with your own data, ideally on the free plan or trial.
7. Corrections
If you spot an error or out-of-date information, write to info@consultordemarketingdigital.pt. Providers may also request factual corrections, which I verify before publishing.
