Segmented email campaigns for your online store

I plan, write, build and send your store’s campaigns, from a new collection launch to Black Friday. Every send has a purpose, a segment and a way to tell whether it was worth it.

In short

Email campaigns are one-off sends scheduled to a chosen segment at a chosen time: launches, promotions, seasonal moments or editorial content. I manage them for WooCommerce stores that want a steady calendar without overloading their team. I handle the plan, copy, design, sending and reporting.

Common campaign problems

  • Everything is last-minute

The Christmas campaign gets designed the week before, leaving no time to segment, test, or prepare stock and customer service.

  • One promotion after another

When nearly every send carries a discount, customers learn to wait for the next one and the margin on each order shrinks.

  • Sending to the whole list

Mailing every contact every time, inactive ones included, drives up spam complaints and hurts inbox placement for all your other sends.

How I run campaigns

I work from a calendar planned weeks ahead, where each campaign has its objective, segment, offer (if any) and success metric agreed before any copy is written. Commercial sends alternate with genuinely useful content so the list doesn’t associate your brand with discounts alone.

  • Editorial and commercial calendar planned well in advance
  • A chosen segment per campaign, suppressing inactive contacts and recent buyers where it makes sense
  • A/B tests with one clear hypothesis per send
  • Links, images, mobile rendering and alt text checked before every send

What’s included

  • Campaign calendar

A monthly or quarterly plan with dates, themes, segments and offers, in a shared document your team can comment on.

  • Reusable email templates

On-brand templates that read well on mobile, with blocks for products, editorial content and seasonal highlights.

  • Copy and build for every campaign

Subject line, preview text, body and calls to action, built in your platform and linked to the right products in your store.

  • Quality control

Test sends, checks across email clients, and confirmation of UTM tags and suppressions before any campaign goes out.

  • Post-send report

Revenue per recipient, clicks, unsubscribes and complaints for each campaign, with one concrete recommendation for the next send.

Working rhythm

  1. Planning

I agree the next period’s calendar with you, based on launches, stock levels, trading dates and past results.

  2. Production

I write and build each campaign and send you a preview for approval with enough lead time.

  3. Sending

I schedule the send to the agreed segment and keep an eye on the first few hours to catch any issue early.

  4. Review

I compile the results and use them to adjust segments, send times and themes for the campaigns that follow.

How many campaigns should I send each month?

There is no single right number for every store. It depends on catalogue size, how often you launch new products and how your list responds. I start at a sustainable pace and adjust based on unsubscribes, complaints and revenue per send.

Do you design the emails as well?

Yes. I create reusable templates based on your store’s visual identity and build each campaign from them. If you have a designer, I work from the assets they supply.

Do campaigns replace automated flows?

No. Flows handle individual customer moments, such as an abandoned basket or a first purchase. Campaigns complement them with news and trading moments for the whole list or for specific segments.

How do you stop campaigns clashing with flows?

I set up suppression rules and frequency caps so that a customer in the middle of a welcome or post-purchase flow doesn’t also receive an irrelevant promotional campaign. The flow message takes priority when the two would overlap.
