Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) is the total cost of winning one new customer. It is calculated by dividing all acquisition spend (ads, tools, agency fees, creative) by the number of new customers in the same period.
CAC only makes sense when compared with Lifetime Value (LTV) and margin. A high CAC can be healthy if the customer buys again many times.
