The LTV:CAC ratio compares the Lifetime Value of a customer with the cost of acquiring them. It is calculated by dividing LTV by CAC. A ratio of around 3:1 is a common benchmark for a healthy business, though it depends on margin and payback period.
A very high ratio can signal under-investment in growth, while a low one means acquisition is too expensive for the value customers bring.
